Winner of the Platinum Small Producer Award at the Scottish Retail Food and Drink Awards

We are absolutely delighted to have won two awards in the inaugural Scottish Retail Food and Drink Awards. Our salt cod pate won the Small Producer Fish category and we also won the much coveted Platinum Small Producer award, chosen from the overall category finalists for products the judges deemed as having ‘absolutely outstanding quality’.

‘Absolutely delicious’ was how the judges summed up our salt cod pate, which contains our hand-made, air-dried salt cod, Aberdeenshire’s Ola Oils cold pressed rapeseed oil, and Shetland Farm Dairies buttermilk, which makes the salt cod pate pro-biotic.

Having featured on James Martin’s Islands to Highlands, and more recently, James Martin’s Saturday Morning, our salt fish is proving to be very popular across the UK and beyond. I salt and air-dry the locally caught fish by hand, using the same methods that have been used in Shetland, and by my family, for hundreds of years. The salt cod pate is one of our best-selling products, so it is great to see it receiving such recognition.
